At a foundation level, learners are encouraged to explore the basic concepts of the art elements. As the learners progress to the intermediate phase, the expectation is that learners will gain a greater understanding of these concepts.
Visual Arts are highly important in the development of a child. Tapping into our imagination and the act of creating allows for engagement with problem-solving, a reimagining of the world and non-verbal expression. Art challenges evoke a sense of freedom and potential and allow one to simply feel.
